"A RESOLUTION REMANDING, WITHOUT ACTION, TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR THE ENDORSED PROJECT PROPOSALS FOR THE FOOD ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS SITUATION-RICE DISTRIBUTION PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF P15,500,000.00 AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF P15,500,000.00, FOR APPROPRIATE ACTION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT (DBM) UNDER THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FUNDS-FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS (LGSF-FALGU)"
WHEREAS, this Sangguniang is in receipt of a letter-request from the Honorable City Mayor for authority to implement the Food Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation-Rice Distribution Project In The Amount Of P15,500,000.00 and the construction of a Multi-Purpose Building in the amount of Fifteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P15,500,000.00) funded out of the Local Government Support Fund-Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) provided under the General Appropriations Act for Calendar Year 2026;
WHEREAS, the body, during its 38th Regular Session held last June 3, 2026, had favorably adopted Resolution No. 2026-0389, authorizing the implementation of the Food Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation-Rice Distribution Project in the amount of Fifteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P15,500,000.00), while the proposed construction of Multi-Purpose Building Project was not favorably acted due to the absence of the necessary funding requirements;
WHEREAS, upon careful evaluation and deliberation, this body, after having determined that the funding for the proposed project has not yet been downloaded to the City Government of Pagadian, deems it more reasonable and logical to remand the said request as the body could not as yet act on the matter without the necessary available funds;
NOW THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it
RESOLVED to remand, as this body hereby remands, to the Honorable City Mayor the endorsed project proposals for the Food Assistance to Individuals In Crisis Situation-Rice Distribution Project in the amount of P15,500,000.00 and the Construction of Multi-Purpose Building Project in the amount of P15,500,000.00, for appropriate action with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) under the Local Government Support Funds-Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU).
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information, guidance and/or favorable action.
