RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0531 (Sponsored by: Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR, THROUGH THE CITY LEGAL OFFICER, TO PROVIDE THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD WITH AN UPDATE ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE DEED OF DONATION EXECUTED BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT IN FAVOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRARIAN REFORM (DAR)-REGIONAL OFFICE IX OVER LOT 2, BLOCK 4 OF THE PRC-MCO SUBDIVISION PLAN, SITUATED AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL GOVERNMENT CENTER, BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, IN LINE WITH RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0477 WHICH, IN GIST, AUTHORIZED THE REVOCATION OF THE AFORE-SAID DEED" WHEREAS, in consideration of the letter-request of the Honorable City Mayor, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, during its 45th Regular Session held on August 5, 2026, enacted Resolution No. 2026-0477 which, in gist, authorized the Honorable City Mayor to revoke the Deed of Donation executed in favor of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-Regional Office IX covering Lot 2, Block 4 of the PRC-MCO Subdivision Plan, situated at the PCARGC, Barangay Balintawak, this city, for failure to comply with the conditions stipulated in the said deed; WHEREAS, just recently, the Department of Agrarian Reform-Regional Office IX, by way of a letter addressed to the City Chief Executive, appealed for reconsideration of the revocation for the reason that they are making sincere and practical efforts to address and rectify its previous non-compliance with the conditions of the donation; WHEREAS, this body, given the importance and urgency of the foregoing concern, deems it proper and necessary to commission the City Legal Officer to provide an update on the current status of the Deed of Donation particularly on whether the revocation thereof has already been perfected or not for information in view of the letter-appeal from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-Regional Office IX; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor, through the City Legal Officer, to provide the Sangguniang Panlungsod with an update on the current status of the Deed of Donation executed by the City Government of Pagadian in favor of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-Regional Office IX over Lot 2, Block 4 of the PRC-MCO subdivision plan, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center, Barangay Balintawak, this City, in line with Resolution No. 2026-0477 which, in gist, authorized the revocation of the afore-said deed. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action, the City Legal Officer; to His Honor, Conrado M. Estrella III, Secretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform, DAR Building, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City; Engr. Jena C. Salaug, OIC-Regional Director, DAR-Regional Office 9; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
