RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0530 (Sponsored by: Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DONATION OF ONE (1) UNIT MOTORIZED BOAT TO THE 53RD INFANTRY (MATAPAT) BATTALION, PHILIPPINE ARMY, ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR USE IN THE OPERATION OF THE SEABORNE PATROL AND, FOR THE PURPOSE, AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE DEED OF DONATION RELATIVE THERETO" WHEREAS, the 53rd Infantry (Matapat) Battalion, Philippine Army, Armed Forces of the Philippines, performs vital security and patrol operations within its area of responsibility, including seaborne patrols for the maintenance of peace and order and the protection of coastal communities, such that, recognizing the importance of strengthening these operations, the City Government of Pagadian intends to donate one (1) unit motorized boat to augment its operational capability and facilitate the effective conduct of seaborne patrols and the protection of the City's coastal communities and surrounding waters; WHEREAS, in order to effectively and properly implement the foregoing assistance, there is a need to formalize the donation through a Deed of Donation by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the 53rd Infantry (MATAPAT) Battalion, Philippine Army, AFP, such that the Honorable City Mayor has sought for an authority to enter into the same--which request, after careful consideration and evaluation, has been found meritorious and consistent with the city's commitment to support peace, security, and public safety, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the donation of one (1) unit motorized boat to the 53rd Infantry (Matapat) Battalion, Philippine Army, Armed Forces of the Philippines for use in the operation of the seaborne patrol, more particularly described hereunder, viz: Dimension : 470 x 192 x 50 cm Capacity : 6-8 persons Boat Type : A430 Boat S/N : CNHHPFA43072121 Engine Brand : Huangjie Engine No. : 20230327000169 Color : Black RESOLVED, FURTHER, to authorize the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Donation and such other documents as may be necessary to formalize and effectuate the foregoing donation. RESOLVED FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the 53rd Infantry (Matapat) Battalion (I.B.), Philippine Army, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through Battalion Commander LTCOL.
