RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0397 (Co-Sponsored by: Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy and Formulation and Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO AND THE CITY TREASURER TO OPEN, ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN, FOR THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, A SEPARATE TRUST FUND ACCOUNT WITH ANY GOVERNMENT BANK FOR USE SOLELY TO DEPOSIT/DOWNLOAD GRANTS, DONATIONS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM VARIOUS GOVERNMENT AND NON-GOVERNMENT SOURCES" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian has been a recipient of several grants, donations and/or financial assistance from various government offices/agencies as well as non-government organizations for the implementation of different priority development programs, projects and activities for the benefit and welfare of the general public; WHEREAS, in the exercise of its mandate to promote sound fiscal management, transparency and accountability in all financial transactions, and to ensure proper custody, utilization, and monitoring of such funds, there is thus a need for the City Government of Pagadian to have a separate Trust Fund Account purposely for use to deposit/download the funds from the afore-mentioned sources; WHEREAS, given the importance of the foregoing matter, this body, upon careful perusal and evaluation by the concerned Committees, to which the foregoing concern was initially referred, deems it proper and in order to grant the Honorable City Mayor and the City Treasurer with the necessary authority for the purpose of opening, establishing and maintaining a separate Trust Fund Account with any government banks in the City of Pagadian, hence, this passage; NOW THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co and the City Treasurer to open, establish and maintain, for the City Government of Pagadian, a separate Trust Fund Account with any government bank for use solely to deposit/download grants, donations and financial assistance from various government and non-government sources. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co; and to Ms. Aileen S. Sarcina, Acting City Treasurer, both of this city, for their immediate favorable action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
