Co) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (DICT), REPRESENTED BY REGIONAL DIRECTOR CHERYL C. ORTEGA, AND THE JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL GREATER PAGADIAN, REPRESENTED BY ITS PRESIDENT, MR. FRANCIS JOHN A. BONTILAO, FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A RADIO-BASED DRRM COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM IN LISON VALLEY, PAGADIAN CITY" WHEREAS, pursuant to the thrust of the national government under the Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. No. 10844 which adopted the Smart Villages Smart Islands (SVSI) Initiative Framework of the International Telecommunication Union, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), in collaboration with the Junior Chamber International Greater Pagadian-a non-profit organization existing in the City of Pagadian-and the City Government of Pagadian have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of a Radio-Based DRRM Communications System in Barangay Lison Valley, this city; WHEREAS, this collaboration is designed to provide and integrate radio-based technology solutions and digital platforms to support disaster preparedness, early warning, emergency coordination, information dissemination, and continuity of essential services; WHEREAS, to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the program, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and among the City Government of Pagadian, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Junior Chamber International Greater Pagadian, wherein the respective duties and responsibilities of the parties shall be clearly defined and set forth, and for this purpose, the Honorable City Mayor has sought authority to enter into and execute the same-which request, upon careful evaluation, merits the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Lance Samuel F. Co, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), represented by Regional Director Cheryl C. Ortega, and the Junior Chamber International Greater Pagadian, represented by its President, Mr. Francis John A. Bontilao, for the implementation of a Radio-Based DRRM Communications System in Lison Valley, Pagadian City. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable action; to the City Legal Officer; to Ms. Cheryl C.
