RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0350 (Sponsored by: Committee on Planning and Landed Estates, Housing and Urban/Rural Community Development) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE BUREAU OF IMMIGRATION (BI), WITH REFERENCE TO THE CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT 2, BLOCK 1-D, OF THE PRC-MCO SUBDIVISION PLAN, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 2,000 SQUARE METERS, LOCATED AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, FOR USE AS SITE OF ITS REGIONAL OFFICE IX, PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE PREVIOUS DEED OF DONATION EXECUTED BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT IN FAVOR OF THE BUREAU OF IMMIGRATION IS ABSOLUTELY RESCINDED/REVOKED" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, through Resolution No. 2024-0701, dated April 17, 2024, authorized the Honorable City Mayor to donate in favor of the Bureau of Immigration-Regional Office IX, a City Government-owned parcel of land known as Lot 5, Block 1, of the PRC-MCO Subdivision Plan, containing an area of 2,000 square meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center in Barangay Balintawak, this city, for the establishment of its Regional Office 9 building; WHEREAS, just recently, the Bureau of Immigration, after finding that the donated lot area is not yet accessible which hinders the commencement of the construction of its regional office 9, has requested for the transfer of a new lot area--to which the Honorable City Mayor has endorsed a new Deed of Donation, after having identified a new lot area known as Lot 2, Block 1-D of the PRC-MCO Subdivision Plan, containing an area of Two Thousand (2,000) square meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center, Barangay Balintawak, this city, with a further request for authority to execute and sign the said deed; WHEREAS, upon careful perusal and evaluation, this body, in consideration of the recommendation of the concerned Committee-to which the matter was initially referred- finds it proper to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to execute and sign the new Deed of Donation covering the newly identified lot area provided, however, that the previously perfected Deed of Donation is absolutely rescinded/revoked; NOW THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to execute and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Donation in favor of the Bureau of Immigration, with reference to the City Government-owned parcel of land known as Lot 2, Block 1-D, of the PRC-MCO Subdivision Plan, containing an area of 2,000 Square Meters, located at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center in Barangay Balintawak, this city, for use as site of its Regional Office IX, provided, however, that the previous Deed of Donation executed by the City Government in favor of the Bureau of Immigration is absolutely rescinded/revoked. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action; to the City Legal Officer; to the Bureau of Immigration, through its Commissioner Atty. Norman G. Tansingco, Magallanes Drive, Intramuros, Manila; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
