RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0323 (Sponsored by: Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas) "A RESOLUTION STRONGLY SUPPORTING THE DECLARATION OF HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, OF A STATE OF NATIONAL ENERGY EMERGENCY, AND URGING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO IMMEDIATELY ADOPT AND IMPLEMENT LOCALIZED MEASURES TO CONSERVE ENERGY AND PROTECT THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, on March 24, 2026, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, issued Executive Order No. 110 declaring a State of National Energy Emergency in response to the escalating fuel prices and the volatility of global energy markets, which pose significant risks to the country's energy supply and security; and which further authorizes and enjoins all local government units to adopt urgent and coordinated measures to ensure a stable and adequate energy supply and to safeguard the national and local economy; WHEREAS, in support thereto, the City Government of Pagadian recognizes the urgent need to adopt proactive and effective measures-fully aligned with the mandates under Executive Order No. 110-that will, in effect, conserve energy and reduce operational costs, mitigate the adverse impacts of rising fuel prices on local industries and safeguard the livelihoods of the agricultural section for benefit and welfare of the entire community; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, be it RESOLVED to strongly support, as this body hereby strongly supports the declaration of His Excellency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., Republic of the Philippines, of a State of National Energy Emergency. RESOLVED FURTHER, urging the Honorable City Mayor to immediately adopt and implement localized measures to conserve energy and protect the agricultural sector in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FINALLY, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; and all other offices concerned, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
