RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0315 (Co-Sponsored by: Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation and Committee on Planning & Landed Estates, Housing and Urban/Rural Community Development) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO NEGOTIATE AND PURCHASE A PORTION OF A PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 5004, UNDER TAX DECLARATION NO. 2019-000022 AND DECLARED IN THE NAME OF LAURENTINA CUTAD, WITH AN AREA OF 53,765 SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY LAPEDIAN, THIS CITY, FOR USE AS ADDITIONAL SITE FOR THE ASENSO VILLAGE PROJECT" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, in line with its intention and desire to provide housing units to the homeless constituents in the urban and rural communities, is relentlessly pursuing the acquisition of lots in various barangays for implementation of the Asenso Village project; WHEREAS, a portion of a parcel of land known as Lot No. 5004, declared in the name of Laurentina Cutad, with an area of 53,765 square meters, situated in Barangay Lapedian, is an ideal area for the foregoing project, such that its acquisition by the City Government using the City Appraisal Committee valuation at P200.00 per square meter needs to be negotiated; WHEREAS, given the foregoing, it is thus necessary to authorize the City Chief Executive to facilitate the negotiation and purchase of such identified area, subject to the following conditions, to wit: Negotiation must be fair, voluntary and without duress; The acquisition must conform to the standard valuation procedures under the Local Government Code, ensuring compliance with appraisal and zonal values; and Deduction of unpaid taxes from the purchase price shall be enforced. NOW THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to negotiate and purchase a portion of a parcel of land known as Lot No. 5004, under Tax Declaration No. 2019-000022 and declared in the name of Laurentina Cutad, with an area of 53,765 square meters, situated at Barangay Lapedian, this city, for use as additional site for the Asenso Village Project. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the City Assessor; to the City Budget Officer; to the City Accountant; to the City Treasurer; and to the City Auditor, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
