RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0310 (Sponsored by: Committee on Transportation, Road Traffic Management and Franchising) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT ALL CONCERNED CITY GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND AGENCIES TO CAUSE THE PRINTING AND INSTALLATION OF HOTLINE STICKERS INSIDE THE MOTORIZED TRICYCLE-FOR-HIRE OPERATING IN THE CITY FOR PURPOSES OF INFORMATION AND REFERENCE OF THE RIDING PUBLIC IN THE EVENT OF VIOLATION TO ANY TRAFFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS INCLUDING THE FARE MATRIX" WHEREAS, motorized tricycles-for-hire serve as one of the primary modes of transportation for the riding public within the city, making it imperative to ensure that operators and drivers comply with existing traffic rules and regulations, including the prescribed fare matrix, and to safeguard the welfare and convenience of commuters against violations such as overcharging, reckless driving, and refusal to convey passengers; WHEREAS, the absence of readily visible contact information inside motorized tricycles-for-hire limits the ability of passengers to promptly report violations, thereby necessitating the installation of hotline stickers containing the official contact numbers of concerned city government offices and agencies to strengthen enforcement of traffic laws and regulations, and provide the riding public with accessible means to seek assistance, thus warranting a request to the Honorable City Mayor to direct the implementation of the same; NOW THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Bienvenido C. Culve, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct all concerned City Government Offices and Agencies to cause the printing and installation of hotline stickers inside the Motorized Tricycle-For-Hire operating in the City for purposes of information and reference of the riding public in the event of violation to any traffic rules and regulations including the fare matrix. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable action; and to all concerned offices, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
