RESOLUTION NO. 2026-0255 (Sponsored by: Committee on Games, Amusements & Sports) "A RESOLUTION URGING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR, THROUGH THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR, TO SUBMIT TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD, ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 27, 2026, A WRITTEN REPORT ON THE STATUS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2024-573 WHICH, IN GIST, CREATED THE PAGADIAN CITY SPORTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICE (PSDO), UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR, PROVIDING ITS PERSONNEL AND COMPOSITION, DEFINING THEIR DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, FOR ITS INFORMATION IN AID OF LEGISLATION" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council), during its 83rd Regular Session held on 17 July 2024, adopted City Ordinance No. 2024-573, entitled: "An Ordinance Creating the Pagadian City Sports Development Office (PSDO), under the Office of the City Mayor, providing its Personnel and Composition, defining their duties, functions and responsibilities, and for other purposes," and was approved and signed by the Honorable City Mayor last August 28, 2024; WHEREAS, after quite a long period of time had elapsed since its approval and, given the information that the same is not yet fully implemented for reasons only known by the Executive Department, it is therefore necessary for this august body to seek a written report detailing the reasons for its non-implementation and the proposed timeline for its operationalization for its information in aid of legislation, thus requesting the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is most proper and appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Hon. Ann Marjorie N. Revelo, be it RESOLVED to urge, as this body hereby urges the Honorable City Mayor, through the City Administrator, to submit to the Sangguniang Panlungsod, on or before February 27, 2026, a written report on the status of the implementation of City Ordinance No. 2024-573 which, in gist, created the Pagadian City Sports Development Office (PSDO), under the Office of the City Mayor, providing its personnel and composition, defining their duties, functions and responsibilities, and for other purposes, detailing the reasons for its non-implementation and the proposed timeline, for its information in aid of legislation. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be furnished to the Honorable City Mayor, for his favorable consideration; and to the City Administrator, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
