RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0220 (Sponsored by: Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana) "A RESOLUTION INFORMING THE OFFICE OF THE OMBUDSMAN-AREA OFFICE FOR MINDANAO, THROUGH THE DEPUTY OMBUDSMAN FOR MINDANAO, THAT THE ENDORSED LETTER-COMPLAINT FROM THE BARANGAY OFFICIALS OF STO. NINO AGAINST BARANGAY KAGAWAD ARNEL L. CRUZ, ALSO OF BARANGAY STO. NINO, PAGADIAN CITY, IS NOW UNDER CONSIDERATION BY THE COMMITTEE ON GOOD GOVERNMENT, ETHICS AND CIVIL SERVICE OF THIS SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD (15TH CITY COUNCIL)" WHEREAS, the Office of the Ombudsman, through the Office of the Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao, received a letter-complaint from the barangay officials of Barangay Sto. Nino, Pagadian City, against Barangay Kagawad Arnel L. Cruz, of the same barangay, who have been allegedly found confirmed positive drug test result, for appropriate action, which letter-complaint was endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlungsod through the Honorable Vice Mayor for appropriate action and/or administrative adjudication; WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod (15th City Council) took cognizance of the foregoing matter and referred the same to the Committee on Good Government, Ethics & Civil Service for initial consideration and evaluation; WHEREAS, given the foregoing premises, it is thus necessary to inform the Office of the Ombudsman-Area Office for Mindanao, through the Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao, of the action taken for its information, guidance, and proper coordination; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana, be it RESOLVED to inform, as this body hereby informs the Office of the Ombudsman - Area Office for Mindanao, through the Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao, that the of the endorsed letter-complaint from the Barangay Officials of Sto. Nino against Barangay Kagawad Arnel L. Cruz, also of Barangay Sto. Nino, this City, is now under consideration by the Committee on Good Government, Ethics & Civil Service of this Sangguniang Panlungsod (15th City Council). RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Office of the Ombudsman through the Office of the Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao, Corner of Earth & Libra Streets, GSIS Heights, Matina, Davao City, for information and to the Department of the Interior and Local Government through the City Local Government Operations Officer, Ms. Maribel C. Estoquia; and all other offices concerned, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
