RESOLUTION NO. 2025-1104 (Sponsor: Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO MAKE THE NECESSARY REPRESENTATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH)-FIRST ENGINEERING DISTRICT OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR TO IMMEDIATELY UNDERTAKE ROAD REHABILITATION AND REPAIR OF THE DAMAGED PORTION OF JOSE P. RIZAL AVENUE PARTICULARLY NEAR CAMP MAJOR REGINALDO C. ABELON, LUMBIA DISTRICT, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, this august body expressed concern and alarm over the abysmal condition of the road portion of Jose P. Rizal Avenue particularly the stretch near Camp Major Reginaldo C. Abelon at Lumbia District, this city, which--if left unattended to--is detrimental or injurious to the safety and security including the convenience and mobility of the motorists, commuters and pedestrians passing through the area; WHEREAS, given the urgency and seriousness of the foregoing predicament, it is but necessary for the City Government through the Honorable City Mayor to urge the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-First Engineering District of Zamboanga del Sur to immediately conduct the necessary rehabilitation and/or asphalting works over the afore-mentioned road stretch, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as it is hereby earnestly requested the Honorable City Mayor to make the necessary representation with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-First Engineering District of Zamboanga del Sur to immediately undertake road rehabilitation and repair of the damaged portion of Jose P. Rizal Avenue particularly near Camp Major Reginaldo C. Abelon, Lumbia District, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, for his immediate favorable consideration; and to the District Engineer, DPWH-First Engineering District, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, Balangasan District, this city, for information and appropriate action.
