"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO APPLY, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, FOR A GRATUITOUS SPECIAL USE PERMIT (GSUP) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES-COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICE (DENR-CENRO) RELATIVE TO THE PROPOSED POLOYAGAN BEACH RESORT PROJECT LOCATED AT MABAIT, BARANGAY POLOYAGAN, THIS CITY"
WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian envisions the development of a beach resort situated in Mabait, Barangay Poloyagan, as part of its strategic tourism initiatives aimed at promoting local economic growth, environmental stewardship, and sustainable recreation for residents and visitors alike;
WHEREAS, consistent with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Administrative Order No. 2022-01, the proposed beach resort project qualifies and meets the requirements for the issuance of a Gratuitous Special Use Permit (GSUP) provided, however, that such project shall be in conformity with the established national policies, environmental safeguards, and development standards, hence, authorizing the City Chief Executive to apply for the said permit is most imperative;
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it 
 RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to apply, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, for a Gratuitous Special Use Permit (GSUP) with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Community Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-CENRO) relative to the proposed Poloyagan Beach Resort project at Mabait, Barangay Poloyagan, this city.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; to the City Legal Officer and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
