"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE FOOD AND DRUGS ADMINISTRATION (FDA), REPRESENTED BY ITS DIRECTOR GENERAL, DR. SAMUEL A. ZACATE, WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF FDA ACT OF 2009, FOOD SAFETY ACT OF 2013 AND THE EASE OF DOING BUSINESS AND EFFICIENT GOVERNMENT SERVICE DELIVERY ACT OF 2018" 
WHEREAS, consistent with the provisions of Republic Act No. 9711, known as "Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act of 2009 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) the Food and Drug Administration of the Department of Health and the City Government of Pagadian have mutually agreed to collaborate and jointly implement the aforementioned project as a strategic and innovative design to safeguard public health, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote inclusive and sustainable economic development of the City of Pagadian; 
WHEREAS, to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the project, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Food and Drug Administration, through its Director General, where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified, such that the Honorable City Mayor has sought for authority to enter into such deed-which request, upon careful perusal and evaluation, merited the support and concurrence of this august body;
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it
RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), represented by its Director General, Dr. Samuel A. Zacate, with reference to the implementation of the provisions of FDA Act of 2009, Food Safety Act of 2013 and the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018." 
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; the Food and Drug Administration thru its Director General, Dr. Samuel A. Zacate, with office address at Civic Drive, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang, City of Muntinlupa, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
