RESOLUTION NO. 2025-1027 (Sponsor: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH HOFILENA HOSPITAL, WITH REFERENCE TO THE PROVISION OF DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES TO REGISTERED EKONSULTA MEMBERS REFERRED BY THE CITY HEALTH OFFICE TO THE AFORESAID HOSPITAL" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, consistent with its commitment to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to its constituents, is contemplating to implement the eKonsulta program of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), however, it lacks the required facilities, equipment and services necessary to render diagnostic services such as Chest X-ray and ECG; WHEREAS, in relation thereto, Hofilena Hospital, a private institution equipped to provide necessary diagnostic services, has agreed to partner with the City Government of Pagadian in addressing the healthcare needs of the city's patients--such that the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the afore-mentioned parties is necessary, hence, a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this body, recognizing the significance and urgency of the foregoing request, deems it imperative to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority to enter and sign the foregoing deed; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to grant, as this body hereby grants authority to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Memorandum of Agreement with Hofilena Hospital, with reference to the provision of diagnostic services to registered eKonsulta members referred by the City Health Office to the aforesaid hospital. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to Dr. Debbylene S. Tan-Ildefonso, MD, City Health Officer II; and to Dr. Jose F. Hofilena, III, Medical Director, Hofilena Hospital, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
