RESOLUTION NO. 2025-1015 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Ecology and Committee on Police, Fire & Public Safety) "A RESOLUTION REFERRING TO THE CITY LEGAL OFFICER, THROUGH THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR, THE MACHINE COPY OF UNNUMBERED MEMORANDUM, DATED JANUARY 21, 2025, ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DILG), WHICH, IN GIST, HIGHLY ENCOURAGES LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS (LGUS) TO ADDRESS PUBLIC NUISANCE AND NOISE POLLUTION, PURPOSELY TO UNDERTAKE A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW AND CONSOLIDATION OF ALL PERTINENT AND EXISTING ORDINANCES RELATED THERETO" WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), through the City Local Government Operations Officer (CLGOO), forwarded to the Sangguniang Panlungsod unnumbered Memorandum, dated January 21, 2025, on the subject: Highly Encouraging Local Government Units (LGUs) to take proactive measures in addressing public nuisance and noise pollution; WHEREAS, following the recommendation of the concerned Committees, to which the aforementioned matter was initially referred, the body, after considering that the City Government of Pagadian has existing ordinances related to public nuisance and noise pollution, deemed it appropriate and in order to refer the same to the City Legal Office to review, consolidate, and ensure the consistency of all existing ordinances related to public nuisance and noise pollution; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to refer, as it is hereby referred to the City Legal Officer, through the Honorable City Mayor, the machine copy of unnumbered Memorandum, dated January 21, 2025, issued by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), which, in gist, highly encourages Local Government Units (LGUS) to address public nuisance and noise pollution, purposely to undertake a comprehensive review and consolidation of all pertinent and existing ordinances related thereto. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S.
