RESOLUTION NO. 2025-1014 (Sponsor: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT(MOA) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD), THROUGH ITS REGIONAL FIELD OFFICE IX, WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING PROGRAM & MILK FEEDING PROGRAM FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS (CDC), SUPERVISED NEIGHBORHOOD PLAY (SNP) IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 10410 otherwise known as "Early Years Act of 2013 and the quality basic education services under Republic Act No. 10533 otherwise known as the "Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013," the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Local Government of Pagadian City have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of Supplementary Feeding Program and Milk Feeding Program for undernourished children ages 3-5 years old enrolled in the Child Development Centers (CDC's) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNPs); WHEREAS, to effectively and efficiently pursue this particular program, the Honorable City Mayor requested that he be accorded with the necessary authority to represent the City Government in the formal forging of the Memorandum of Agreement with the DSWD, which request merited the support and approval of this august body, hence, this authority; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to grant, as this body hereby grants authority to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Regional Field Office IX, with reference to the implementation of the Supplementary Feeding Program & Milk Feeding Program for Child Development Centers (CDC), Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNP) in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the City Social Welfare and Development Officer; and to the Department of Social Welfare and Development through Regional Director Riduan P. Hadjimuddin, DSWD-Regional Field Office 9, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
