RESOLUTION NO. 2025-1007 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety, Committee on Youth Welfare, Juvenile Delinquency & Drug Abuse Prevention and Committee on Laws, Rules & Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE VALIDITY OF BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO. 01, S. 2024 OF BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING MINOR OR MINORS FROM ENGAGING ANY FORM OF GAMBLING WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, CITY OF PAGADIAN, AND PUNISHING VIOLATORS HEREOF" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Balintawak, this city, enacted Barangay Ordinance No. 01, s. 2024, entitled: "An Ordinance Prohibiting Minor or Minors from Engaging any form of Gambling within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Barangay Balintawak, City of Pagadian, and Punishing Violators Hereof," and submitted the same to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for review and confirmation pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991; WHEREAS, the Joint Committees, to which the foregoing Barangay Ordinance was referred for review, found the same in order in form and substance and is consistent with the powers delegated to the Sangguniang Barangay thus, the recommendation to confirm the foregoing measure is supported and concurred by the body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo, be it RESOLVED to confirm, as this body hereby confirms the validity of Barangay Ordinance No. 01, s. 2024, of Barangay Balintawak, entitled: "An Ordinance Prohibiting Minor or Minors from Engaging any form of Gambling within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Barangay Balintawak, City of Pagadian, and Punishing Violators Hereof." RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Barangay Council of Balintawak through its Punong Barangay, for information, guidance and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
