RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0981 (By Acclamation) "A RESOLUTION CONVEYING THE CITY'S PROFOUND SYMPATHY AND CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF THE LATE JASPER ALCALA--A REGISTERED NURSE--WHO DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT LAST FEBRUARY 02, 2025, AND EXPRESSING HIGHEST GRATITUDE FOR HIS BRAVERY AND HEROIC DEED IN PROTECTING THE LIFE OF A PATIENT AT THE EXPENSE OF HIS OWN" WHEREAS, on 02 February 2025, Mr. Jasper Alcala, a registered nurse working at the Pagadian City Medical Center (PCMC)--while transporting a patient to Cagayan de Oro City--died in a car accident at Dableston, Municipality of Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao del Norte; WHEREAS, accordingly, Nurse Jasper Alcala protected his patient until the very last moment of the tragic accident--an act which demonstrates extraordinary bravery and professionalism in the face of adversity, upholding the values of nursing and serving as a beacon of hope in times of crisis; WHEREAS, his untimely demise in the line of duty is a heartbreaking loss which will remind every Pagadianon of the immense sacrifices made by those who devote their lives to caring for others, often placing their own safety aside in pursuit of saving lives; WHEREAS, this august body, in representation of the people of Pagadian City, extends its deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family, friends and colleagues of the late Jasper Alcala while expressing highest gratitude for his bravery and heroism which has left an indelible mark to those he served and to the entire healthcare community; NOW, THEREFORE, on joint and unanimous motion by all Sangguniang Panlungsod Members present, be it RESOLVED to convey, as this body hereby conveys the City's profound sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of the late Jasper Alcala--a registered nurse--who died in a car accident last February 02, 2025. RESOLVED FURTHER, to express highest gratitude for his bravery and heroic deed in protecting the life of a patient at the expense of his own. RESOLVED FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted immediately to the family of the late Jasper Alcala, at Barangay Kawit, this city. APPROVED BY ACCLAMATION.
