"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) , FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN,  WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD)-REGIONAL OFFICE IX, FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF  THE COUNSELLING SERVICES FOR REHABILITATION OF PERPETRATORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (CSRDPV) PROGRAM"
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 5416 (otherwise known as the "Social Welfare Act of 1986") and Executive Order No. 292, s. 1987 (The Administrative Code of 1987, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is mandated to address the root cause of domestic violence by providing behavioral counselling, psychosocial support and rehabilitation services to perpetrators of abuse and in line with the said mandate, the City Government of Pagadian has agreed to work collaboratively with the DSWD in pursuing and implementing the aforementioned program within the City of Pagadian;
WHEREAS, to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the program, there is thus a need for the formal forging of Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Regional Office IX, where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified, such that the Honorable City Mayor has sought for authority to enter into such deed-which request, upon careful perusal and evaluation, merited the support and concurrence of this august body;
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it
RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Regional Office IX, for the implementation of the Counselling Services for Rehabilitation of Perpetrators of Domestic Violence (CSRDPV) Program.
 RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; the City Social Welfare and Development Officer, and to Regional Director Riduan P. Hadjimuddin, DSWD-Regional Field Office 9, all of this city, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
