RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0107 (Sponsored by: Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE CITY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION & MANAGEMENT OFFICER (CDRRMO), THROUGH THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR, TO COORDINATE WITH ALL CONCERNED NATIONAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES FOR THE HEIGHTENED CONDUCT OF EARTHQUAKE DRILLS IN ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, the recent occurrences of earthquakes in various parts of the country underscore the need to strengthen disaster preparedness and ensure the safety of all constituents, particularly within public and private establishments, through the regular and well-coordinated conduct of earthquake drills as an effective measure to promote awareness and readiness among the public in times of seismic emergencies; WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 10121, otherwise known as the "Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010," the conduct of regular and coordinated earthquake drills fosters disaster resilience among the business establishments, with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) spearheading the activity, in coordination with all other concerned national and local agencies, to ensure an effective implementation of such preparedness programs in all businesses in the city, hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as this body hereby earnestly requests the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer (CDRRMO), through the Honorable City Mayor, to coordinate with all concerned national and local government agencies for the heightened conduct of earthquake drills in all public and private establishments in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, for appropriate action; the Head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office; the Head, Business Permit & Licensing Office-Office of the City Mayor; the Head-Office of the Building Official; Civil Service Commission (CSC)-Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office; City Fire Marshal-Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP); the Chief of Police-Pagadian City Police Station; the Regional Director-Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Regional Office IX and all other office concern, for information and guidance.
