"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH-CENTER FOR HEALTH DEVELOPMENT-ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA, REGIONAL OFFICE IX, WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY BENEFITS AND ALLOWANCE FOR HEALTH CARE WORKERS ACT"

WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 11712, also known as the Public Health Emergency Benefits and Allowances for Health Care Workers Act and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) and DOH Administrative Order No. 2022-0001-A, entitled: "Guidelines for COVID-19 RISK Exposure Classification of Healthcare Workers", the City Government of Pagadian and the Department of Health-Center for Health Development-Zamboanga Peninsula, Regional Office IX, have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of the said public health emergency benefits and allowance to compensate public and private health care workers and non-health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in the City of Pagadian;
WHEREAS, to hasten the pursuance of the foregoing matter, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Department of Health-Center for Health Development-Zamboanga Peninsula, Regional Office IX, where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified, such that an authority to enter into such deed has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor-which request, upon careful perusal and evaluation, merited the support and concurrence of this body;
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it 
RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department Of Health-Center for Health Development-Zamboanga Peninsula, Regional Office IX, with reference to the implementation of the Public Health Emergency Benefits and Allowance for Health Care Workers Act.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable action; the City Legal Officer; and OIC Regional Director, Dr. Lenny Joy Johnson-Rivera, MD, MDM, CESO IV,  DOH-Center for Health Development-Zamboanga Peninsula, Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
