A RESOLUTION REITERATING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR THE REQUEST OF THE 15TH CITY COUNCIL, AS ENUNCIATED IN ITS RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0068, TO FACILITATE THE CONDUCT OF A DRAINAGE SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND IN-DEPTH STUDY AND COME UP WITH A COMPREHENSIVE DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PAGADIAN TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS THE PERENNIAL PROBLEM OF FLOODING IN THE CITY'S LOW-LYING AREAS, WITH A FURTHER REQUEST TO ALLOCATE/APPROPRIATE FUNDS NECESSARY TO EMPLOY/ENGAGE THE SERVICES OF AN EXPERT PROFESSIONAL OR CONSULTANCY FIRM FOR THE PURPOSE

"A RESOLUTION REITERATING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR THE REQUEST OF THE 15TH CITY COUNCIL, AS ENUNCIATED IN ITS RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0068, TO FACILITATE THE CONDUCT OF A DRAINAGE SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND IN-DEPTH STUDY AND COME UP WITH A COMPREHENSIVE DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PAGADIAN TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS THE PERENNIAL PROBLEM OF FLOODING IN THE CITY'S LOW-LYING AREAS, WITH A FURTHER REQUEST TO ALLOCATE/APPROPRIATE FUNDS NECESSARY TO EMPLOY/ENGAGE THE SERVICES OF AN EXPERT PROFESSIONAL OR CONSULTANCY FIRM FOR THE PURPOSE"    
WHEREAS, the 15th City Council, during its 7th Regular Session held on 27 August 2025, adopted and approved Resolution No. 2025-0068, which in gist requested the Honorable City Mayor to facilitate the conduct of a drainage system analysis and in-depth study and come up with a comprehensive drainage master plan for the City of Pagadian to effectively address the perennial problem of flooding in the city's low-lying areas;
WHEREAS, as this Sanggunian received no information/response on the action taken by the Honorable City Mayor as regards the foregoing matter, this body finds it cogently necessary to make a follow up and reiterate its request to include the allocation of appropriate funds in the Calendar Year 2026 Local Executive Program of the City Government of Pagadian for the purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Maphilindo Q. Obaob, be it 
RESOLVED to reiterate, as this body hereby reiterates to the Honorable City Mayor the request of the 15th City Council, as enunciated in its Resolution No. 0068, to facilitate the conduct of a drainage system analysis and in-depth study and come up with a comprehensive drainage master plan for the City of Pagadian to effectively address the perennial problem of flooding in the city's low-lying areas, with a further request to allocate/appropriate funds necessary to employ/engage the services of an expert professional or consultancy firm for the purpose.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, for his immediate favorable consideration; and to Ms. Maribel C. Estoquia, City Local Government Operations Officer, DILG, for information and reference.
