"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE PHILIPPINE COCONUT AUTHORITY (PCA)-REGIONAL OFFICE 9, WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMUNAL NURSERY ESTABLISHMENT OF HYBRID COCONUT SEEDLINGS UNDER THE COCONUT HYBRIDIZATION PROGRAM"

WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor, by authority from the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council) through Resolution No. 2024-0755, entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) for the implementation of the Communal Nursery Establishment of Hybrid Coconut Seedlings under the Coconut Hybridization Program in the City of Pagadian;


WHEREAS, after careful perusal, it was verified that the said Agreement had expired last July 20, 2025, such that the forging of a new Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Philippine Coconut Authority is necessary to continue the foregoing program, thus a request for authority to enter into such deed is now being sought by the Honorable City Mayor;

WHEREAS, the body, upon careful perusal and evaluation through the concerned Committees, to which the matter was referred, deems it cogently necessary to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to sign the foregoing deed for and in behalf of the City Government;

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, be it

RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA)-Regional Office 9, with reference to the implementation of the Communal Nursery Establishment of Hybrid Coconut Seedlings under the Coconut Hybridization Program.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to Mr. Bernie E. Cruz, Administrator, Philippine Coconut Authority, R&D Building, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City; and all others concerned, for their information and guidance.
