RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0069 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Markets & Slaughterhouse/Dressing Plant, Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation and Committee on Ways and Means) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CONCERNED CITY GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT AND/OR OFFICES TO FACILITATE THE RELOCATION PROCESS OF THE DISPLACED VENDORS OR STALLHOLDERS AT THE AGORA PUBLIC MARKET DUE TO THE ALLEGED DEMOLITION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DULY APPROVED LIST OF GRANTEES" WHEREAS, concern over the verbal complaint brought out by several affected stallholders/vendors at the Agora Public Market on the alleged illegal demolition which, accordingly, deprived them of their right to earn a living in relation to the City Government's thrust and mandate to ensure an equal opportunity for all to engage into business for the advancement of one's living condition; WHEREAS, premises considered, this body, for purposes of human consideration and in support of the recommendation of the concerned Committees-to which the foregoing matter was referred for initial evaluation-deems it necessary to direct the concerned department or offices of the City Government to immediately facilitate the relocation process of the displaced vendors/stallholders at the Agora Public Market in conformity with the duly approved list of grantees, hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Roger L. Acedillo, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as this body hereby earnestly requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the concerned City Government department and/or offices to facilitate the relocation process of the displaced vendors or stallholders at the Agora Public Market due to the alleged demolition in accordance with the duly approved list of grantees. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; and all concerned offices, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
