RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0039 (Sponsor: Honorable Ma. Alicia Elena V. Ariosa) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO INCREASE IN THE CALENDAR YEAR 2026 LOCAL EXPENDITURE PROGRAM OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN THE BUDGETARY ALLOCATION FOR MAINTENANCE AND OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES (MOOE) OF THE OFFICE OF THE CITY VICE MAYOR, OFFICES OF THE INDIVIDUAL SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD MEMBERS, AND THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD" WHEREAS, the Legislative Department--composed of the Office of the City Vice Mayor, the Offices of the individual Sangguniang Panlungsod Members, and the Office of the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod--plays a vital role in the delivery of quality basic services for the benefit and general welfare of the people of Pagadian City as well as in the over-all development of the community; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation on the current budgetary allocation of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, it was found out that the budget for Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) is no longer adequate to support the increasing operational demand of the different offices in the Legislative Department which hinders their efficiency and effectiveness in pursuing its mandate provided under the Local Government Code of 1991, thus making it imperative and necessary to, accordingly, request for budgetary adjustment in the Calendar Year 2026 Local Expenditure Program of the City Government; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ma. Alicia Elena V. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to increase in the Calendar Year 2026 Local Expenditure Program of the City Government of Pagadian the budgetary allocation for Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) of the Office of the City Vice Mayor, Offices of the individual Sangguniang Panlungsod Members, and the Office of the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co for his consideration and favorable action; and the Local Finance Committee through the City Budget Officer, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
