Bana) "A RESOLUTION HOLDING IN ABEYANCE THE DISSEMINATION/DISTRIBUTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2025-1093 ENACTED BY THE 14TH CITY COUNCIL, ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO APPLY, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, FOR LAND TITLING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES-COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICE (DENR-CENRO) IN RELATION TO A PARCEL OF PUBLIC LAND LOCATED AT BARANGAY WHITE BEACH, THIS CITY," PENDING REVIEW OF THIS SANGGUNIAN (15TH CITY COUNCIL) IN RELATION TO THE REQUEST OF THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF WHITE BEACH, AS ENUNCIATED IN ITS RESOLUTION NO. 12, SERIES OF 2025" WHEREAS, consistent with the letter-request of the Honorable City Mayor, the 14th City Council, during its 118th Regular Session held on May 7, 2025, adopted Resolution No. 2025-1093 which, in gist, authorized the Honorable City Mayor to apply, in behalf of the City Government, for the titling of a parcel of public land in Barangay White Beach with the DENR-CENRO; WHEREAS, just recently, the Sangguniang Barangay of White Beach, this city, through Resolution No. 12, Series of 2025, requested the 15th City Council to reconsider the action of the previous Council due to lack of public hearing/consultation on the matter; WHEREAS, finding urgency and importance of the foregoing concern, this august body, upon careful perusal and evaluation, deems it necessary to conduct further consultation with concerned stakeholders to ensure the propriety, legal sufficiency, and long-term implications of the proposed land titling, thus holding in abeyance the dissemination/distribution of Resolution No. 2025-1093 is most appropriate until after all pertinent issues are adequately addressed; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jackielyn Krystyl C. Bana, be it RESOLVED to hold in abeyance, as this body hereby holds in abeyance the dissemination/distribution of Resolution No. 2025-1093 enacted by the 14th City Council, entitled: "A resolution authorizing the Honorable City Mayor to apply, for and in behalf of the City Government, for land titling with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO) concerning a parcel of public land located at Barangay White Beach, this city," pending review of this Sangguniang (15th City Council) in relation to the request of the Sangguniang Barangay of White Beach, as enunciated in its Resolution No. 12, series of 2025. RESOLVED FURTHER, to direct the Office of the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod to implement the substance of the foregoing Resolution until otherwise directed. RESOLVED, FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Barangay Council of White Beach through its Punong Barangay, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
