RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0010 (Sponsor: Honorable Maphilindo Q. Obaob) "A RESOLUTION URGING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY ENGINEER TO IMMEDIATELY CONDUCT AN ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION ON THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE TO THE ROOFING OF THE CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3) TO INCLUDE THE DAMAGED GLASS DOOR OF THE OFFICE OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD MEMBERS AND, THEREAFTER, IMMEDIATELY INSTITUTE THE NECESSARY REPAIR THERETO" WHEREAS, with the advent of the rainy season, the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod expressed deep concern over the apparent leaking on the roof of the C3 Building which has notably affected the offices of the City Vice Mayor, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian, and the Session Hall, among others; WHEREAS, along with the foregoing observation, it is likewise noted that the glass door of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members is needed repair or replacement to ensure the safety and security of the premises; WHEREAS, it is not, however, an understatement to express the body's apprehension over the foregoing predicament which, if not immediately repaired, may cause further deterioration of the said facilities and, in effect, disrupt the performance of the individual Council Members from its official legislative duties and functions, hence, the intercession of the City Chief Executive to commissioning the City Engineer for the immediate repair of the said facility is most appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of the Honorable Maphilindo Q. Obaob, be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to urge the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Engineer to immediately conduct an assessment and evaluation on the extent of the damage to the roofing of the City Commercial Center (C3) to include the damaged glass door of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members and, thereafter, immediately institute the necessary repair thereto. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable action; and to the City Engineer, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
