RESOLUTION NO. 2025-0005 (Sponsor: Honorable Maphilindo Q. Obaob) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE DISTRICT ENGINEER-FIRST ENGINEERING DISTRICT OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH), TO IMMEDIATELY CONDUCT REPAIR/REHABILITATION ON THE DAMAGED SEGMENT OF THE ROAD ALONG THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY FROM BARANGAY TIGUMA TO BARANGAY BUENAVISTA, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, this august body expressed concern and perturb over the bad condition of some portions of road segments along the national highway from Barangay Tiguma up to Barangay Buenavista, this city--which, if not immediately addressed, will definitely compromise road worthiness and thereby posing risks to motorists and pedestrians alike; WHEREAS, while it has been known that the previous Council had passed similar request, however, this Sanggunian-given the urgency and seriousness of the foregoing predicament, deems it necessary to reiterate to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) through the District Engineer-First Engineering District of Zamboanga del Sur, being the agency mandated to maintain and improve national roads, to immediately assess the situation and undertake the necessary repair works; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Maphilindo Q. Obaob, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as it is hereby earnestly requested the District Engineer--First Engineering District of Zamboanga del Sur, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), to immeidately conduct repair/rehabilitation on the damaged segment of the road along the National Highway from Barangay Tiguma to Barangay Buenavista, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to District Engineer Pablo L. Escuadro, DPWH-First Engineering District, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, Balangasan District, this city, for information and appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
