"RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE HOFILENA HOSPITAL, WITH REFERENCE TO THE OPERATION OF THE PAGADIAN CITY DIALYSIS CLINIC"

WHEREAS, the Pagadian City Dialysis Clinic, as a government dialysis treatment center operated by the City Government of Pagadian, is dedicated to addressing the healthcare needs of its constituents, however, the clinic currently lacks the facilities, equipment and services necessary to effectively manage medical emergencies or life-threatening situations; 
WHEREAS, in relation thereto, the Hofilena Hospital, a private institution equipped to provide necessary medical intervention, has agreed to partner with the City Government of Pagadian in addressing the healthcare needs of the city's patients--such that the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the afore-mentioned parties is necessary, hence, a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor;
WHEREAS, this body, recognizing the significance and urgency of the foregoing request, deems it imperative to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority to enter and sign the said deed; 
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it
RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and on behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Hofilena Hospital, with reference to the operation of the Pagadian City Dialysis Clinic. 
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to Dr. Jose F. Hofilena, III, Medical Director, Hofilena Hospital, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
