RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0903 (Co-Sponsored by: Committee on Commerce, Trade & Industry, Economic Enterprise & Cooperatives and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF DIGITAL OR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES (e-SIG) OF THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR AS AN OFFICIAL SIGNATURE IN ANY AND ALL BUSINESS PERMIT ISSUED BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, in pursuance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 11032 otherwise known as "The Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018," local government units were mandated to automate their business permitting and licensing system or set up an Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS) purposely to eliminate red tape and reduce time spent in all the transactions being catered by government agencies and local government units; WHEREAS, in an effort to comply with the foregoing mandate of streamlining and automating the business permitting and licensing of the City of Pagadian and to fully implement eBOSS, it is most essential to adopt the use of digital or electronic signature (e-SIG) as an official signature in relation to the issuance of business permits, hence, authorizing the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is most appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr., be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the use of Digital or Electronic Signature (e-SIG) of the Honorable City Mayor as an official signature in any and all business permits issued by the City Government of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the Head-City Business Permits and Licensing Office, Office of the City Mayor, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
