RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0871 (Co-Sponsored by: Committee on Planning and Landed Estates and Committee on Laws, Rules, and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION RECALLING AND DECLARING AS INEFFECTIVE AND UNENFORCEABLE RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0249, ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DONATE, BY WAY OF A DEED OF DONATION, LOT NO. 2, BLOCK NO. 9 AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, WITH AN AREA OF 1,182 SQUARE METERS IN FAVOR OF THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS (COMELEC), REGIONAL OFFICE IX" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, by virtue of Resolution No. 2019-0249, dated November 13, 2019, authorized the City Chief Executive to execute a Deed of Donation, involving Lot No. 2, Block 9, with an area of 1,182 square meters, thereby conveying a parcel of land in favor of the Commission on Elections for the establishment of its Regional Office at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center Site in Barangay Balintawak, this City; WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter-endorsement, requested for the passage of a new resolution, in view of the request of the Commission on Election, Regional Office -IX to be relocated to a suitable location for the construction of its office building, thus, recalling such resolution and rendering the same ineffective and unenforceable is appropriate and in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arial J. Lim, Jr., be it RESOLVED to recall and declare, as this body hereby recalls and declares as ineffective and unenforceable Resolution No. 2019-0249, entitled: "A resolution authorizing the Honorable City Mayor to donate, by way of a Deed of Donation, Lot No. 2, Block No. 9 at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center Site in Barangay Balintawak, this city, with an area of 1,182 square meters in favor of the Commission On Elections (COMELEC), Regional Office IX. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
