"A RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE AUTHORITY PREVIOUSLY GRANTED TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY-PHILIPPINE ATMOSPHERIC, GEOPHYSICAL AND ASTRONOMICAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (DOST-PAG-ASA) PERTAINING TO LOT NO. 3, BLOCK 21-A, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 1,388 SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, AND THEREBY DECLARING RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0355 INEFFECTIVE"
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, through Resolution No. 2023-0355, authorized the Honorable City Mayor to donate Lot No. 3, Block 21-A, of the PRC-MCO Subdivision Plan, containing an area of 1,388 square meters, situated at Barangay Balintawak, this city, in favor of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA), for use as site of its Regional Office 9; 
WHEREAS, notwithstanding the fact that the above-mentioned Deed of Donation had been perfected, the DOST-PAG-ASA, through its regional office, sought for the donation of another location which is, accordingly, more suitable for its intended purpose while considering that the present location poses potential safety risks-to which the Honorable City Mayor recommended for the revocation of the previous authority;
WHEREAS, this body, in support of the recommendation of the concerned Committees-to which the matter was initially referred-deems it appropriate and in order to declare Resolution No. 2023-0355 ineffective; 
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim. Jr., be it
RESOLVED to rescind, as this body hereby rescinds the authority previously granted to the Honorable City Mayor to execute a Deed of Donation in favor of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAG-ASA) pertaining to Lot No. 3, Block 21-A, containing an area of 1,388 Square Meters, situated at Barangay Balintawak, this city.
RESOLVED FURTHER, declaring Resolution No. 2023-0355 ineffective. 
RESOLVED, FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Legal Officer; and the Pagadian City Regional Center Management Coordinating Office, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
