RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0847 (Co-Sponsors: Committees on Police, Fire & Public Safety and Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation, Communications and Franchising) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING DRAFT ORDINANCE NO. 072 ON THIRD AND FINAL READING AND ORDAINING THE SAME AS CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2024-583, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10054, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS AN ACT MANDATING ALL MOTORCYCLE RIDERS TO WEAR STANDARD PROTECTIVE MOTORCYCLE HELMETS WHILE DRIVING AND PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR, THEREBY REPEALING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2018-416" WHEREAS, Draft Ordinance No. 072, sponsored by Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo, was thoroughly considered by this august body on First and Second Reading and has undergone and complied with all the required processes following the determination of its necessity and practicability, hence its consideration on Third and Final Reading was undertaken; WHEREAS, the measure as it stands merits the body's final action and approval; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves Draft Ordinance No. 072 on Third and Final Reading and ordaining the same as City Ordinance No. 2024-583, entitled: "An Ordinance Adopting Republic Act No. 10054, Otherwise Known As An Act Mandating All Motorcycle Riders To Wear Standard Protective Motorcycle Helmets While Driving And Providing Penalties Therefor, Thereby Repealing City Ordinance No. 2018-416."
