"RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (DA)- REGIONAL OFFICE IX AND THE GUBAC FARMERS ASSOCIATION, RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LIVESTOCK-BASED ECONOMIC ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT (LEED) PROGRAM THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MULTIPLIER FARM PROJECT"

WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 8435, otherwise known as the "Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization Act (AFMA)" which envisions to strengthen the agriculture and fisheries sector through the implementation of the Livestock-Based Economic Enterprise Development (LEED) Program, the Department of Agriculture, through its Regional Field Office IX, and the City Government of Pagadian have agreed to concertedly pursue the establishment of one (1) module Carabao Multiplier Farm Project where the Gubac Farmer's Association is the direct recipient and beneficiary of the said project; 

WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing program, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement where the duties and responsibilities of the concerned parties are specified, such that a request for authority to enter and sign the same for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor--which requests, upon careful perusal and evaluation by the Sangguniang Panlungsod through the concerned Committees, merited the support and concurrence of this august body; 
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, be it
RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum Of Agreement with the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Regional Office IX and the Gubac Farmers Association, this city, relative to the implementation of the Livestock-Based Economic Enterprise Development (LEED) Program through the establishment of Multiplier Farm Project.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the Gubac Farmer's Association through its President, Ms. Thelma M. Lumosad; and to the Department of Agriculture through Regional Executive Director Engr. Marcos C. Aves, Sr., Regional Office IX, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
