"A RESOLUTION REMANDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR HIS LETTER-REQUEST FOR AUTHORITY TO NEGOTIATE THE RELOCATION OF THE HALL OF JUSTICE AND SIGN THE DEED OF EXCHANGE TO BE ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN AND THE SUPREME COURT OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR THE PURPOSE AND THE AUTHORITY TO DONATE A CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED PARCEL OF LAND AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW JUSTICE HALL BUILDING IN FAVOR OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE PHILIPPINES TOGETHER WITH THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS THERETO, WITH AN ADVISE TO RE-SUBMIT THE SAME TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD UNTIL AFTER THE DEED OF EXCHANGE SHALL HAVE BEEN FINALIZED"
 WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter-indorsement, dated 15 April 2024, informed this august body of the negotiation being undertaken between the City Government and the Supreme Court relative to the proposed relocation of the Hall of Justice building to the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center at Barangay Balintawak, this city, where the City Government shall donate the lot and provide appropriate funding for the construction of the new Hall of Justice building in exchange of the lot and building where the Hall of Justice is presently situated at the City Hall Complex, Barangay Gatas; 
WHEREAS, along with the foregoing information is the request of the City Chief Executive for legislative authority to negotiate the proposed relocation and sign the Deed of Exchange for the purpose as well as an authority to donate a parcel of land in favor of the Supreme Court and the construction of the new Justice Hall building thereat;
WHEREAS, upon careful perusal and evaluation, this body, in support of the recommendation of the concerned Committees, to which the foregoing concern was initially referred, remanded the said request to the Honorable City Mayor with an advise to re-submit the same until after the Deed of Exchange shall have been finalized; 
 NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ma. Alicia Elena V. Ariosa, be it
RESOLVED to remand, as this body hereby remands to the Honorable City Mayor his letter-request for authority to negotiate the relocation of the Hall of Justice and sign the Deed of Exchange to be entered into by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Supreme Court of the Philippines for the purpose and the authority to donate a City Government-owned parcel of land and the construction of a new Justice Hall building in favor of the Supreme Court of the Philippines together with the attached documents thereto, with an advise to re-submit the same to the Sangguniang Panlungsod until after the Deed of Exchange shall have been finalized.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his consideration and appropriate action.
