A RESOLUTION ADOPTING LOCAL BUDGET CIRCULAR NO. 157, DATED MAY 3, 2024, ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT (DBM), ON THE SUBJECT: "UPDATED RULES AND REGULATIONS ON THE GRANT OF REPRESENTATION AND TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCES (RATA) TO OFFICIALS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS FOR FY 2024 AND YEARS THEREAFTER," AND REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE LOCAL FINANCE COMMITTEE TO ALLOCATE FUNDS OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SAME

"A RESOLUTION ADOPTING LOCAL BUDGET CIRCULAR NO. 157, DATED MAY 3, 2024, ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT (DBM), ON THE SUBJECT: "UPDATED RULES AND REGULATIONS ON THE GRANT OF REPRESENTATION AND TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCES (RATA) TO OFFICIALS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS FOR FY 2024 AND YEARS THEREAFTER," AND REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE LOCAL FINANCE COMMITTEE TO ALLOCATE FUNDS OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SAME" 
WHEREAS, in pursuance to Section 64 of Republic Act No. 11975 or the Fiscal Year 2024 General Appropriations Act which provides for the new rates of Representation and Transportation Allowances (RATA) given to select government officials to cover related expenses incidental to and in connection with the actual performance of their respective functions, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) issued Local Budget Circular No. 157, dated May 3, 2024, which is an Updated Rules and Regulations on the Grant of Representation and Transportation Allowances (RATA) to Officials of Local Government Units for FY 2024 and Years Thereafter;" 
WHEREAS, given the urgent need to implement the foregoing directive in the Local Government of Pagadian, it is thus necessary to adopt the said Local Budget Circular No. 157, with a request to the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Local Finance Committee to allocate funds for the purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Monique Shaira Y. To, be it
RESOLVED to adopt, as this body hereby adopts Local Budget Circular No. 157, dated May 3, 2024, issued by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), on the subject: "Updated Rules and Regulations on the Grant of Representation and Transportation Allowances (RATA) to Officials of Local Government Units for FY 2024 and Years Thereafter."
RESOLVED FURTHER, to request the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Local Finance Committee to allocate funds out of any available fund sources of the City Government for the effective implementation of the same. 
RESOLVED, FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; to the City Budget Officer; to the City Accountant; to the City Treasurer; and to the City Auditor, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
