RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0806 (Co-sponsors: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety & Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO GRANT THE AMOUNT OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND (P15,000.00) PESOS, OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, FOR USE AS MONETARY REWARD TO ANY PERSON/PERSONS WHO SHALL HAVE PROVIDED VITAL INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST OF ALLEGED DRUG SUSPECTS, THE DISMANTLING OF A DRUG DEN AND CONFISCATION OF A TOTAL OF 110 GRAMS OF SUSPECTED METHAMPHETAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE "SHABU" IN BARANGAYS KAWIT AND SANTIAGO, BOTH OF THIS CITY" WHEREAS, on or about 3:15 in the afternoon of March 20, 2024, the joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-RO9-RSET RO9-ZDS PO, and PIU-ZDS conducted a buy-bust operation at Boulevard, Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, which resulted in the arrest of a certain Ascuna Andig y Dimasangca and the confiscation of 100 grams of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride locally known as "shabu" worth P680,000.00; WHEREAS, relatedly, the joint elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-RO9-RSET, RO9-ZDS, and RO9-IIS conducted an operation, by virtue of Search Warrant Nos. 209-2024 and 210-2024 issued by Honorable Judge Dennis P. Vicoy, RTC-Multi Sala Station, which resulted in the arrest of certain Christian Suizo, Shiela May Fuentez y Garin, Anecito Ermac y Abubo, and Pilar Dagpin y Uyangurin, and the confiscation of approximately 10 grams of alleged Methamphetamine Hydrochloride locally known as "shabu;" WHEREAS, it is worthy to note that the successful operation which were separately conducted were made possible through a meticulous investigation and surveillance conducted by the operatives as well as the material information provided by reliable informant which eventually led to the successful arrest of alleged drug dealers and the confiscation of suspected illegal drugs and paraphernalia, such that it is but prim and proper for the City Government to grant monetary reward/incentive to any informant or person/s who have provided vital information which resulted in the successful operation, hence, authorizing the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is in order and most appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to grant the amount of Fifteen Thousand (P15,000.00) Pesos, out of any available fund sources of the City Government, for use as monetary reward to any person/persons who shall have provided vital information leading to the arrest of alleged drug suspects, the dismantling of a drug den and confiscation of a total of 110 grams of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride "Shabu" in Barangays Kawit and Santiago, both of this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; the City Auditor; and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) through Dir. Maharani R.
