RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0797 (Sponsor: Committee on Infrastructure, Public Bidding and Community Development) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY ENGINEER TO EXPEDITE THE CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION OF THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM ALONG DUTERTE STREET PARTICULARLY PUROK MAKIANGAYON GOING TO PUROK MAKABIBIHAG I-II OF BARANGAY SANTA LUCIA, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Sta. Lucia, through Resolution No. 39, s. 2024, requested the Sangguniang Panlungsod to take action on the long delayed rehabilitation project of a drainage system along Duterte Street particularly at Purok Makiangayon going to Purok Makabibihag I-II, Barangay Sta. Lucia, this City, which--if not immediately remedied and with the onset of the rainy season--will cause rain water to overflow resulting to flooding in the low-lying areas thereby adversely exposing the health and living condition of the residents thereat as well as posing risks to motorists passing through the area; WHEREAS, finding urgency and importance of the foregoing matter, this body, in support of the recommendation of Committee on Infrastructure, Public Bidding & Community Development-to which the matter was initially referred-finds it cogently necessary to summon the awarded bidder of the said project to expedite the completion of the afore-mentioned rehabilitation project, thus requesting the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Engineer for the purpose is most appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Engineer to expedite the construction/rehabilitation of the drainage system along Duterte Street particularly Purok Makiangayon going to Purok Makabibihag I-II of Barangay Santa Lucia, this city. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable action; and to Engr. Gerry D.
