RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0789 (By Acclamation) "A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE OFFICERS AND MEN OF THE NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (NBI) FROM THE REGIONAL OFFICE IX AND THE PAGADIAN CITY DISTRICT OFFICE FOR THEIR EXEMPLARY EFFORTS AND DEDICATED SERVICE IN THE SUCCESSFUL OPERATION AGAINST AN ALLEGED PONZI-SCHEME INVESTMENT SCAM OPERATION IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN WHICH LED TO THE APPREHENSION OF A CERTAIN JOHN MARK S. PINEDA AND BERNADETH A. ALBARACIN" WHEREAS, on 03 July 2024, joint operatives from the Regional Office IX and the Pagadian City District Office of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), in collaboration with the representatives of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), conducted an entrapment operation against the suspected operators of an investment scam under the name of Skyline Trading, Neon Marketing, and High-Grade Trading at Purok Bagong Silang, Sta. Lucia District, this city, which led to the arrest of a certain John Mark S. Pineda and Bernadeth A. Albaracin, the alleged operators, who were caught in flagrante delicto; WHEREAS, this swift action of the officers and men of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) whom the public reposed their confidence to be protected from any fraudulent activities deserves the body's appreciation and commendation; NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of all Council Members present, and unanimously seconded, it was RESOLVED to commend, as this body hereby commends the exemplary effort and dedicated service of the officers and men of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) from the Regional Office IX and the Pagadian City District Office for the successful operation against an alleged PONZI-Scheme Investment Scam operation in the City of Pagadian which led to the apprehension of a certain John Mark S.
