RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0775 (Sponsor: Honorable Monique Shaira Y. To) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO URGENTLY HIRE AND/OR APPOINT QUALIFIED PERSON TO THE POSITION OF SCHOOL PRESIDENT OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENT SET FORTH BY THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION (CHED)" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, by virtue of City Ordinance No. 2021-479, has established and operated the Pagadian City International College (PCIC) in recognition of its mandate and responsibility to provide equal access to educational opportunities and promote quality higher educational attainment for its constituents; WHEREAS, in view thereof and, in compliance with Memorandum Order No. 03, series of 2001 issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the afore-mentioned educational institution is thus required to fill in the vacant position of School President who shall have all qualifications and none of the disqualification in order to keep and continue its accreditation and recognition by the CHED; WHEREAS, finding importance and urgency of the foregoing matter, there is thus an urgent need for the Honorable City Mayor to hire and/or appoint qualified person to the position of School President of the PCIC, hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Monique Shaira Y. To, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as it is hereby earnestly requested the Honorable City Mayor to urgently hire and/or appoint qualified person to the position of School President of the Pagadian City International College in compliance with the requirement set forth by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and immediate favorable consideration; and to Mr. Robert Peter S.
