To) "A RESOLUTION INVITING, IN AID OF LEGISLATION, THE MANAGEMENT OF THE PAMANA WATER CORPORATION-PAGADIAN CITY WATER DISTRICT (PAMANA-PCWD) TO ATTEND THE 80TH REGULAR SESSION OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD ON JUNE 26, 2024 AT 9:00 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING AT THE SP SESSION HALL, 4TH FLOOR CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3) BUILDING, BARANGAY SANTIAGO, THIS CITY, PURPOSELY TO SHED LIGHT OVER THE MATTER CONCERNING THE ALLEGED POOR WATER DISTRIBUTION SERVICES AS WELL AS THE NON-COMPLIANCE OF THE REQUESTS OF THIS SANGGUNIAN AS CONTAINED IN ITS RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0653" WHEREAS, this body is in receipt of a letter from a water-service concessionaire which allegedly abhors the poor water distribution services of the PAMANA Water Corporation-Pagadian City Water District (PAMANA-PCWD) and for purposes of transparency calls for a public dialogue on the issue; WHEREAS, relatedly, this Sanggunian, during its 67th Regular Session held on February 28, 2024, enacted Resolution No. 2024-0653, entitled: "A Resolution urging the management of PAMANA Water Corporation--Pagadian City Water District (PCWD) to provide/furnish the Sangguniang Panlungsod with the necessary pertinent documents relative to the approved joint venture as well as the water distribution development plan, for its information and reference, in aid of legislation, which request has remained unacted until this date; WHEREAS, recognizing the importance and urgency of the foregoing concern and considering its primordial commitment to uphold the general welfare of the public, this august body deems it imperatively necessary to invite the management of PAMANA-PCWD to attend the scheduled session purposely to ventilate on various issues and concerns surrounding the operation of the said public water utility. NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Monique Shaira Y. To, be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to invite, in aid of legislation, the management of the PAMANA Water Corporation-Pagadian City Water District (PAMANA-PCWD) to attend the 80th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod on June 26, 2024 at 9:00 o'clock in the morning at the SP Session Hall, 4th Floor City Commercial Center (C3) Building, Barangay Santiago, this city, purposely to shed light over the matter concerning the alleged poor water distribution services as well as the non-compliance of the requests of this Sanggunian as contained in its Resolution No. 2024-0653. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Management of PAMANA Water Corporation-Pagadian City Water District (PCWD) through its General Manager, Gatas District, this city, for information and favorable action; and to the Honorable City Mayor, for support.
