RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0749 (Sponsor: Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CHIEF OF POLICE-PAGADIAN CITY POLICE STATION TO INTENSIFY POLICE VISIBILITY AS A CRIME PREVENTION MEASURE IN THE DENSELY POPULATED AREAS AND BARANGAYS IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, public data shows that there has been an alarming increase in criminal activities in the City of Pagadian from January to June 2024, which poses a threat to the peace and security of the residents, in particular, and the City of Pagadian, in general; WHEREAS, pursuant to the Constitution and related laws, the City Chief Executive, having the operational supervision and control over the local police, is in the best position to direct the Pagadian City Police Office and all other concerned law enforcement agencies stationed in the city to institute necessary public safety programs as well as establish appropriate security plans through the intensification of police visibility as a pre-emptive measure to deter the commission of any criminal activities in the City of Pagadian; NOW THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as it is hereby earnestly requested the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Chief of Police-Pagadian City Police Station to intensity police visibility as a crime prevention measure in the densely populated areas and barangays in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, Samuel S. Co, this City, for immediate action; and to the Chief of Police, Pagadian City Police Station, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
