To) "A RESOLUTION INVITING, IN AID OF LEGISLATION, THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION-REGIONAL OFFICE IX TO ATTEND, SUBJECT TO HIS AVAILABILITY, THE HEREIN SCHEDULED REGULAR SESSION OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD ON JUNE 19, 2024 OR JUNE 26, 2026 OR DURING A SPECIAL SESSION ON JUNE 20, 2024, AT 9:00 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNIG AT THE SP SESSION HALL, FOURTH FLOOR, CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3), BARANGAY SANTIAGO, THIS CITY, TO SHED LIGHT ON THE VARIOUS ISSUES AND CONCERNS RELATIVE TO THE OPERATION OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (PCIC)" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod aims to address several concerns based on an anonymous citizen's letter regarding the operation of the Pagadian City International College (PCIC), as well as the concern raised by Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo on a letter from the Commission dated April 11, 2024 directing the Honorable City Mayor to comply the minimum requirements set forth by the commission for each of the programs offered by the school, within fifteen (15) days from receipt of the letter; WHEREAS, having already obtained insights from the School Administrator of the Pagadian City International College, during its 75th Regular Session, the council now endeavors to gain a comprehensive understanding by also soliciting input from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED); WHEREAS, the issue has remained unresolved in the council due to scheduling conflicts, thus the council, is offering the Regional Director the option to address the matter either during the June 19, 20 & 26, 2024 sessions at 9:00 o'clock in the morning, this is to provide the Regional Director with sufficient time to accommodate the invitation and ensure a comprehensive discussion. NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Monique Shaira Y. To, be it RESOLVED to invite, as this body hereby invites the Regional Director-Commission on Higher Education to attend the session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod at the SP Session Hall, Fourth Floor, City Commercial Center, Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City, to shed light, in aid of legislation, on the various issues and concerns over the operation of the Pagadian City International College. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Commission on Higher Education-Regional Office IX through OIC-Regional Director Rody P. Garcia, MDM, Ed.D., J.D., Sanson corner Sabellano Streets, San Francisco District, this City, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
