RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0739 (Sponsor: Hon. Marylynn U. Tan) "A RESOLUTION CONSIDERING THE PARTICIPATION/ATTENDANCE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE 14TH CITY COUNCIL TO THE 26TH NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE NATIONAL MOVEMENT FOR YOUNG LEGISLATORS (NMYL) ON MAY 2028-30, 2024, AT HENAN CONVENTION CENTER, PANGLAO, BOHOL, AS AN OFFICIAL UNDERTAKING OF THE BODY IN LIEU OF ITS SCHEDULED SESSION FOR THE WEEK THEREBY, IN EFFECT, RESETTING THE 78TH REGULAR SESSION TO JUNE 05, 2024'' WHEREAS, the National Movement for Young Legislators (NMYL) will be holding its 26th National Convention on May 2028-30, 2024 at Henan Convention Center, Panglao, Bohol; WHEREAS, considering the foregoing activity to be equally important and with great bearing particularly on the discharge of the official duties and responsibilities of the members of the 14th City Council wherein majority of them are members of the National Movement for Young Legislators (NMYL) who have signified to attend/participate the said event, hence, the body, knowing it can no longer muster a quorum, deems it necessary to consider the said activity as an official undertaking which therefore will necessitate the resetting of the 78th Regular Session to June 05, 2024; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Marylynn U. Tan, be it RESOLVED to consider, as this body hereby considers the participation/attendance of the Members of the 14th City Council to the 26th National Convention of the National Movement for Young Legislators (NMYL) on May 28 to 30, 2024, at Henan Convention Center, Panglao, Bohol, as an official undertaking of the body in lieu of its scheduled session for the week thereby, in effect, resetting the 78th Regular Session to June 05, 2024.
