RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0734 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Commerce, Trade & Industry & Economic Enterprise & Cooperatives Committee on Laws, Rules & Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (CDA)-REGIONAL OFFICE IX, WITH REFERENCE TO THE PROVISION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO LOCAL COOPERATIVES WITH RESPECT TO COMPLIANCE OF REPORTORIAL REQUIREMENTS AS MANDATED UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9520 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "THE PHILIPPINE COOPERATIVE CODE OF 2008" WHEREAS, consistent with their mandate, the Cooperative Department Authority (CDA)-Regional Office IX and the City Government of Pagadian have agreed to collaborate in their effort to provide technical assistance and support to all existing local cooperatives in the city with regard to compliance of reportorial requirements as mandated under Republic Act No. 9520, otherwise known as "The Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008;" WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing joint endeavor, the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Cooperative Development Authority is necessary where the duties and responsibilities of both parties are specified, such that a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor--which requests merited the support and concurrence of the august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr., be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) - Regional Office IX, with reference to the provision of technical assistance and support to local cooperatives with respect to compliance of reportorial requirements as mandated under Republic Act No. 9520 otherwise known as "The Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008." RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the CDA-Regional Office IX, through RD Ruben L. Cunanan, J.D., CDA Region-IX Extension Office, 2nd Floor, Bance Building, P.
