Lim, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY TREASURER TO RELEASE THE WITHHELD UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE, FOR CALENDAR YEARS 2023 AND 2024, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FIVE THOUSAND (P5,000.00) PESOS, FOR ALL ELIGIBLE OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT-OFFICE OF THE CITY VICE MAYOR, OFFICE OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD MEMBERS, AND THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE SANGGUNIAN-PURSUANT TO DBM BUDGET CIRCULAR NO. 2024-01, DATED APRIL 04, 2024" WHEREAS, consistent with the provisions of the law, the City Government of Pagadian had been granting uniform/clothing allowance in the amount of P6,000.00 to all eligible officials and employees purposely to help defray expenses for uniforms or distinctive clothing which are required for employees in the regular performance of their work--wherein the amount of P2,000.00 during Calendar Year 2023 and P3,000.00 for Calendar Year 2024 were withheld for use in the purchase of textile materials and to cover the sewing/tailoring cost; WHEREAS, Sub-Section 7.1.3, Section 7 of DBM Circular No. 2024-01, dated April 04, 2024, provides that Uniform/Clothing Allowance may be granted in the form of cash particularly for those incumbents to executive positions who may not be required to wear the prescribed uniforms, or for those who will purchase their own uniforms according to set conditions; WHEREAS, given the above-mentioned provision, this body finds it reasonable and practical for the Legislative Department to have their own uniform to conform with the nature and condition of the legislative work, thus requesting the release of the withheld uniform allowance in the total amount of P5,000.00 is imperative; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim. Jr, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Treasurer to release the withheld uniform/clothing allowance, for Calendar Years 2023 and 2024, in the total amount of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) Pesos, for all eligible officials and employees of the Legislative Department-Office of the City Vice Mayor, Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members and the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian- pursuant to DBM Budget Circular No. 2024-01, dated April 04, 2024." RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable action; and to the City Treasurer, Mr. Nona Grace E.
