RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0718 (Co-sponsors: Committee on Finance and Appropriations, Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulations and Committee on Planning and Landed Estates) "A RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO NEGOTIATE AND PURCHASE A PARCEL OF LAND PARTICULARLY KNOWN AS LOT NO. 5209-I, OWNED BY MR. PEDRO FAMOR, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 10,909 SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, FOR USE IN THE EXPANSION OF THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, in line with its over-all development framework, is relentlessly pursuing in the expansion of the President Corazaon C. Aquino Regional Government Center site situated at Barangay Balintawak, this city. WHEREAS, the adjacent parcel of land known as Lot No. 5209-I, registered in the name of Mr. Pedro Famor, is an ideal area for use in the expansion of the regional center site, such that its acquisition by the City Government needs to be negotiated; WHEREAS, given the foregoing, it is thus necessary to authorize the City Chief Executive to facilitate the negotiation and purchase of such identified area; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ma. Alicia Elena V. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to negotiate and purchase a parcel of land particularly known as Lot No. 5209-I, owned by Mr. Pedro Famor, containing an area of 10,909 square meters, situated at Barangay Balintawak, this city, for use in the expansion of the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center Site. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
