RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0695 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Health and Social Services and Committee on Education, Science and Technology and Accreditation of NGO's and PO's) "A RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO, IN HIS CONCURRING CAPACITY AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (PCIC), TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE CONTRACT OF AFFILIATION WITH THE FOLLOWING LYING-INS PURPOSELY FOR THE TRAINING OF THE MIDWIFERY STUDENT-INTERNS OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (PCIC)" WHEREAS, in compliance with the requirements for the completion of the educational learning for Midwifery curriculum, the Pagadian City International College (PCIC) and the following lying-ins in the city, namely: Her Choice Birthing Home, Mama' Love Birthing Home and St. Mary's Lying-In, have agreed to collaborate purposely for the affiliation/training of its Midwifery students with the afore-mentioned medical institutions; WHEREAS, in view thereof, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Contract of Affiliation by and between the Pagadian City International College (PCIC), duly represented by the Honorable City Mayor, in his concurring capacity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, with the above-named lying-ins, for which a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the City Chief Executive; WHEREAS, this august body, upon careful perusal and evaluation and, following the favorable recommendation of the concerned Committees, to which said item was referred for initial study, deems it appropriate to grant the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to grant, as this body hereby grants authority to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, in his concurring capacity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Pagadian City International College (PCIC), to enter into and sign the Contract of Affiliation with the following lying-ins purposely for the training of the midwifery student-interns of the Pagadian City International College (PCIC), namely: Her Choice Birthing Home, represented by its Administrator, Mr. Michael Chris C. Quiroz, RRT; Mama' Love Birthing Home, represented by its Administrator, Ms. Rudelen F. Austria; and St. Mary's Lying In, represented by its Administrator, Ms. Marilyn C. Saysip, RM. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, in his concurring capacity as Chairman of the PCIC Board of Trustees, for favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the Pagadian City International College through its Principal - School of Midwifery, Ms. Glyn S.
