RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0679

"A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING AND CONVEYING THE CITY GOVERNMENT'S HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES AND DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF THE LATE FORMER CITY COUNCILOR GIL T. ONA WHO PASSED AWAY LAST MARCH 15, 2024, AT THE AGE OF 70"
WHEREAS, Gil T. Ona, known to be a God-centered man, a generous family provider and a dedicated and trusted public servant has succumbed to death and joined His Creator last March 15, 2024, at the age of 70;
WHEREAS, the entire officialdom of the City Government along with the people of Pagadian--who had benefited magnanimously from his leadership being a distinguished member of the City Council during the particular period from 1988 up to 1998 (3rd 4th & 5th City Council) where he sincerely dedicated his public service by sharing his time, efforts, thoughts and selfless insights that greatly contributed to the development of the City of Pagadian--share the loss of the bereaved family joining them in praying for the eternal repose of his soul;
NOW THEREFORE on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it
RESOLVED to express and convey, as this body hereby expresses and conveys the City Government's heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of the late former City Councilor Gil T. Ona who passed away last March 15, 2024, at the age of 70.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Ona Family through Ms. Judith Ona, for information.
